1992
The history of our business begins in 1992. On September 1st, Emil Kowala and his son Radomir Kowala founded the association of entrepreneurs and the Chempo facility based in Třinec – Lyžbice, Czech Republic. This step marked our first milestone in our business journey, as we soon realized the first ever delivery of sulphuric acid from Poland. The number of commodities is growing, we are also starting to trade in sodium hydroxide, for example, and our portfolio is expanding further still.
1997
On December 2nd, 1997, we founded REKOCHEM Limited to further develop our activities. The founders of REKOCHEM, Emil and Radomir, are now the sole owners of the company and are behind the birth of the family-owned business. With this step, the international trade in chemical products and commodities grows by another important partner.
2006
The company is thriving and expanding. The premises where it has been located so far are becoming cramped. For this reason, on April 3rd, 2006, we relocated our headquarters to Třinec – Staré Město, Czech Republic, and moved into the building where you can still find us today.
2014
On September 29th, 2014, after Emil left REKOCHEM, his business share was transferred to Radomir. In the same year, Radomir's son Radek also started to play a full role in the company while he was still studying business economics and management. With this step, REKOCHEM gains another talented member who strengthens its position in the industrial chemicals market.
2016
REKOCHEM is becoming more ambitious. In April 2016, it established a cooperation with the Silesian University, Faculty of Business and Administration in Karviná, Czech Republic, where, among other things, it supports and funds two student startup projects.
2017
We are taking another big step forward. On December 5th, 2017, Radek became co-owner and managing director of the company, continuing the successful expansion of the family-owned business.
2020
The world is shaken by the situation related to the coronavirus pandemic, which REKOCHEM successfully overcomes. We are strengthening our pillars, giving a clear direction to our activities, and focusing on new goals. In mid-November, we are also starting a major renovation and modernization of our company headquarters building.
2023
The company gets a new look and space for the realization of long-prepared activities. REKOCHEM rebrands itself as a new company KOWERA and expands its portfolio to include logistics, freight forwarding, and consulting services. This enables us to offer our partners tailor-made solutions for their needs, all under one roof, just as we envisioned from the beginning.
